Empowering social entrepreneurs to make an impact around the globe
At PIM, their mission is to help individuals from all walks of life discover their purpose in social impact by offering programs designed to cultivate essential skills necessary for future leadership roles.
They partner with universities and schools to develop and implement programs aimed at guiding students in uncovering their social purpose and creating lasting impact. These programs range from bootcamps to full degree programs covering topics such as social entrepreneurship, technology for good, design thinking, and purposeful leadership.
Moreover, PIM collaborates with organizations and companies to assist them in achieving impact-focused objectives for their philanthropy and corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs. This includes organizing social and environmentally themed global competitions, accelerator programs, and providing impact investment advisory and capacity building support to startups.
Why we work with Purpose in Motion
The overarching global challenge associated with Purpose in Motion’s (PIM) mission is the pressing need to address complex social and environmental issues facing our planet. This includes challenges such as climate change, poverty, inequality, environmental degradation, and social injustice. These issues are interconnected and require comprehensive, systemic solutions that engage individuals, organizations, and institutions across sectors and disciplines.
By empowering individuals and organizations to align their missions with impactful strategies and integrate social and environmental considerations into their operations, PIM plays a crucial role in addressing these global challenges and working towards a more sustainable and equitable future for all. At Minds Studio, we wanted to empower PIM to do good better, and we decided to start a collaboration that has already lasted several years.
What we worked on
TechImpact Academy Projects Evaluation
The TechImpact Academy program aims to empower students with the knowledge and experience to create meaningful change and social impact through technology. By working on projects that utilize technology to address pressing social or environmental challenges, participants gain invaluable skills in both technology and leadership.
Through a series of interactive sessions under the guidance of experienced mentors, student teams will follow the design thinking process to investigate the problem, ideate solutions, create a business model, develop prototypes, and test their idea. Following the foundation course, students will delve into key startup topics such as team building, customer identification, financial analysis, storytelling, and more.
Minds Studio has been evaluating projects from Mozambique, Armenia, Albania, Zambia, Cyprus, Singapore, Colombia, Bahrain, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and +50 countries in the last few years.

Purpose in Motion Tech Stack revamp
Over the past couple of years, Minds Studio has undertaken a comprehensive overhaul of Purpose In Motion’s technology infrastructure. This revamp encompasses a wide spectrum, from outward-facing multilingual website pages to internal tools and automations that interface with PIM’s databases for students, mentors, and judges.
The Minds Studio Tech team collaborated closely with Purpose in Motion’s internal team and UX/UI designer to reconstruct their entire website content and enhance their email marketing tools, prioritizing optimization for speed and efficiency.
