Helping teens transition from eco-anxiety to eco-agency
The Earth Foundation is a nonprofit focused on inspiring young people to tackle environmental challenges. They offer resources, mentorship, and platforms for youth to engage in sustainability, encouraging innovation and action on issues like climate change and biodiversity loss.
The Earth Prize, their flagship initiative, is a global competition for students aged 13-19 to propose solutions to environmental problems. It provides mentorship, a global network, and financial rewards to encourage creativity and leadership in sustainability, empowering the next generation of environmental stewards.
Why we work with the Earth Foundation
The Earth Foundation is focused on addressing the critical global challenge of environmental sustainability. The planet is facing severe issues like climate change, biodiversity loss, and widespread environmental degradation, all of which threaten the future of ecosystems and humanity. These problems require urgent and innovative solutions to mitigate their impacts and ensure a sustainable future.
To tackle these challenges, the Earth Foundation is dedicated to empowering the next generation of leaders and change-makers. By fostering innovation, education, and action among young people, the foundation aims to inspire creative solutions and cultivate a global community of youth who are equipped and motivated to drive positive environmental change. Their efforts seek to address the root causes of environmental crises and promote a more sustainable world for future generations.
What we worked on
The Earth Community Design
In August 2024, a diverse team of Minds Studio consultants, representing five countries across four continents, came together to design the initial blueprint for The Earth Community in 24h. This collaborative effort led to a resulting framework that will be implemented by the Earth Foundation in the coming months, driving forward our mission to create a global network for sustainable impact.
